Making Sense of the News

Hello and welcome back to Night Minded. Today I will be covering some exciting news for the psychological horror (game) fans! There is a plethora of new games coming out that fit within the genre. Some independent (indie) games, and some made by bigger well-known companies. With an influx in dinosaur fans because of the recent Jurassic (World? Park?) movies, there are multiple dinosaur related games being releasedDeathground is a realistic game where you are living in a present-day world of dinosaurs, and you are forced to kill them before they can hunt you down. Thankfully, there is an option to build a team to fight against them – but either way it is a challenging task especially with the unpredictable AI controlling the creatures. Ill is another upcoming game in which you play as an investigator who is trying to control the disease (?) of sorts that is spreading and turning innocent civilians into monsters. Your job in the virtual town is to use the evidence you collect to find out the origins of the disease and try to stop it. These are two drastically different games but have play-styles and plots that sum up the interests of many different people. This published article makes me happy because the Psychological Horror community is getting recognition and being promoted through mass amounts of soon-to-be mainstream video games.
